The cotton underwear lets air circulate around your vagina to breathe. This can keep a yeast infection from occurring at bay and prevent an infection.
Avoid anything scented products near or in the vaginal region. Scented items such as sprays and soaps may irritate the vaginal area and give rise to a yeast infections. It is very important not to use scented tampons because they come in direct contact and can be especially irritating. Avoid the dyes found in colored toilet papers.
Indulge in a nightly bath that includes cider vinegar (two cups). Vinegar can balance your natural pH levels and hinder yeast growth. Limit the time that you spend in this bath. If you do not want to take a bath, douche with a mix of warm water and vinegar.
Add 2 cups of apple cider vinegar into a warm bath water at night. Vinegar can balance your natural pH levels and keep the growth to a minimum. Do not spend hours in the bath too long though. You can also try a douche with 3 tablespoons of cider vinegar and warm water.
Healthy Bacteria
Do not use any products that have fragrance in the vaginal area. The chemicals used to give these products its scent can disrupt the pH balance of your vagina. They can also cause an itchy sensation in your vagina. When this happens, yeast is more likely to thrive. Try scent free products, and if you refuse to, be wary of any discomfort from their scented alternatives.
If you feel some yeast infection symptoms like itching or burning, have some yogurt. The acidophilus it contains returns the healthy bacteria which are excellent for battling an oncoming infection. This healthy bacteria it needs to diminish the yeast.

Not as common but equally troubling, it’s possible to get an oral infection. Always contact your doctor if you think you might have an infection. Rinsing the mouth with a warm saltwater solution, or drinking liquids that are cool, can help to minimize discomfort.
