Put down sod correctly. Before laying the sod, the soil must be prepared. Pull all the weeds and loosen the soil so the new roots can take easily. Flatten the soil back into place, gently but firmly. Thoroughly moisten the soil. Sod should be placed in rows that are staggered, where the joints connect to offset each other. Tamp down the sod so it has a flat and even surface, then using some extra soil, fill the gaps between. After two weeks of daily watering, the sod should be rooted; at this time, it is now safe to walk on it.
You do not need a costly chemical treatments for plant mildew. Mix a little liquid soap and some baking soda into water. Spray this mix on plants every week and the mildew should go away. Baking soda is a good way to get rid of mildew effectively and gently and it won’t damage your plants gently.

Seeds should be soaked in a dark area overnight. Place your seeds in a container filled with water. This lets water soak into the seeds, giving them an extra boost of hydration when they start growing. The seeds will now have a greater chance of maturing and surviving.

Get some horticulture knee pads if you have low-growing plants. Having a pair of knee pads for horticulture can help cushion the knees to provide additional comfort.
If your garden includes vegetables, make sure you plant them in a location whether they are exposed to sunlight for a minimum of six hours each day. Most vegetables need at least that much sun exposure to grow properly. This is also true for some flowers.
Try “boiling” weeds in your garden with boiling water to get rid of them. Boiling water in a very safe “herbicide.” Boiling water damages the roots and will stunt further growth.
You should divide your irises. You can increase the number of irises by dividing up overgrown clumps. The bulbs will naturally split in your hands, and when replanted, should easily split by hand – allowing you to replant them for even more blooms next spring. You should divide rhizomes using a blade. Cut new pieces from the outside and throw out the dead center. Each new piece should possess at least one healthy offshoot. Replant your cuttings immediately for the cuttings.
Pest control can become a major issue. You can’t use chemicals as they’re the last thing you want to be eating when you enjoy the fruits of your labor. To safely keep your garden pest-free, keep a sharp eye out. Taking the pests off of the plants by hand is one of the best fixes if you are able to catch the infestation in its early stages.
If you plan on growing peas, try starting them off indoors rather than planting the raw seeds in outdoor beds. The seeds will have a better in your home if you start them indoors. Seedlings will grow stronger, too; they can stand up better to diseases and insects. You could transplant the seedlings outside after they are able to survive and thrive.
